The Ratio app makes it easy to decide when your vehicle charges. This is particularly useful if you have a dynamic or time-of-use electricity tariff, or simply want greater control over your charging schedule. Set specific charging times in the app so your car is ready when you need it. Prefer to charge only when electricity prices are lower? You can do that too. Charge using 100% solar energy
Benefits of a smart EV charger
The Ratio app provides real-time information about your current charging session and gives you access to your charging history. You can also select the charging mode that best suits your needs. With Pure Solar mode, your vehicle can charge using surplus energy generated by your solar panels. On sunny days, this means you can charge using 100% renewable, self-generated electricity.
You can also lock or unlock your charger directly through the app. Wherever you are, the Ratio EV Charging app gives you complete control over your charging process.
Understand your energy consumption
Monitoring and analysis
The Ratio app gives you detailed insight into your energy use. You can view measurements for each individual phase and see whether electricity is being drawn from the grid or whether surplus solar energy is available.
A positive reading indicates that electricity is being imported from the grid, while a negative reading shows that your solar panels are generating surplus power. This information helps you identify the best time to charge and optimise your overall energy consumption. As a result, your vehicle can charge at the most efficient time for your home, your energy system and your electricity tariff.
