1.1 These warranty terms and conditions apply to all agreements between Ratio Electric (“Supplier”) and its business customers (“Purchaser”) concerning the products supplied by the Supplier.
1.2 Deviating or additional arrangements are only valid if confirmed in writing.
2.1 The Supplier provides a warranty on all supplied products for a period of 3 years from the date of delivery..
2.2 The Supplier provides a warranty for EV charging cables for a period of 5 years from the date of delivery. Adapters and mobile chargers are not covered under the charging cable category.
2.3 For certain products, the Supplier offers the option to extend the warranty from 3 to 5 years under additional terms and conditions.
2.3.1 Extended warranty is only granted if the Purchaser submits proof of proper installation within one month after installation via our warranty platform.
3.1 The warranty covers only material and manufacturing defects that occur under normal use of the product.
3.2 The warranty includes, at the Supplier’s discretion:
• Free repair, or
• Replacement of the product or component, or
• Credit of (part of) the invoice value.
3.3 Transport, installation, and removal costs are not covered by the warranty unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing.
The warranty does not apply in the following cases:
4.1 Normal wear and tear, consumable parts, or cosmetic damage.
4.1.1 Normal wear and tear includes, among other things, oxidation on cables used outdoors.
4.2 Improper or careless use, incorrect installation, inadequate maintenance, or use contrary to the specifications or manual..
4.3 Damage caused by external factors such as fire, flooding, lightning, or other force majeure events.
4.4 If the Purchaser or third parties have made modifications or repairs to the product without the Supplier’s permission.
5.1 The Purchaser must report defects as soon as possible after discovery, including a clear description and, if possible, photos of the defect. Reports can be sent via email to: support@ratio.nl
5.2 At the Supplier’s request, the Purchaser must return the product for inspection. Responsibility and risk for return shipment lie with the Purchaser.
5.3 The Supplier will assess and determine whether the claim is valid and decide which solution will be offered.
6.1 The warranty does not extend beyond what is specified in these terms and conditions.
6.2 The Supplier is not liable for consequential damages, such as business interruption, loss of profit, or any other indirect damage.
6.3 The Supplier’s maximum liability is always limited to the invoice value of the product to which the complaint relates.
7.1 These warranty terms and the related agreement are governed exclusively by Dutch law.
7.2 Any disputes will be submitted exclusively to the competent court in [location of choice, e.g., Amsterdam].
